A direct burial is a very straightforward process, wherein the body is buried at a predetermined burial site, at the convenience of the funeral director.
You will likely not be present if you select this offer, nor will any other mourners. There is no farewell ceremony as a part of this option, allowing you to organise remembrance in your own time, in a way that works for you and the family of the deceased. A direct burial does not include the price of headstones, a burial plot, or fees for the gravedigger. The date and time of the burial is also at the discretion of the funeral provider.
